Select Soccer Club Names Kyle McCord as Regional Director for New Hampshire Joining Scott Donnelly’s Vision for Elite Player Development
Kyle McCord
Regional Director
New Hampshire
Following the recent announcement of Select Soccer Club’s strategic expansion into New Hampshire, the club proudly introduces Kyle McCord as the Regional Director for New Hampshire. McCord, a seasoned coach and former professional player, joins Scott Donnelly, who was recently appointed Regional Executive Director and Boys Technical Director, to lead Select’s newest region with a shared vision of elite development and character-driven coaching.
McCord brings a dynamic mix of professional playing experience, elite youth development, and club leadership. As CEO and Head Coach of Goal King Academy in Rye, NH, McCord built a competitive NECSL program from the ground up, training hundreds of aspiring athletes — including Casey Phair, the youngest player to appear in a FIFA Women’s World Cup. His playing career spans professional stints with the Harrisburg City Islanders (USL) and European clubs in Sweden, alongside a national title run at the University of Virginia. Additionally, the McCord-founded Goal King Academy will become a part of Select Soccer Club and form the foundation for Select’s expansion into New Hampshire.
“Kyle represents exactly what we look for in leadership — a deep commitment to player growth, proven coaching experience, and a connection to the community,” said Donnelly. “He understands what it takes to develop high-level players while building a culture rooted in values, purpose, and care.”

With McCord at the helm in New Hampshire, Select adds a leader with not only technical credibility but also a player-first mentality. His player development model — focused on technical mastery, tactical intelligence, and mental resilience — perfectly complements Select’s elite training environment and long-standing dedication to helping driven athletes reach their highest potential.
Donnelly’s global credentials further elevate the expansion. With senior roles at Manchester United, U.S. Soccer, and AC Horsens, Donnelly has built a career around talent identification and elite development. From coaching the U.S. U-17 and U-18 National Teams to leading Atlanta United 2 during an MLS Cup season, his influence on the game is far-reaching.
“Select stands out because it combines a competitive edge with a human focus,” said Donnelly. “Together with Kyle, we’re building something special in New Hampshire — one that’s structured, supportive, and driven by excellence.”
Select Soccer Club’s expansion marks a milestone for the northern region, offering top-tier coaching, college pathways, and a values-based culture. Full programming begins in Fall 2025, with tryouts launching May 22nd at the New England Sports Hub in Somersworth and May 28th at Phillips Exeter Academy.
