Excitement is building for the 2025 SheBelieves Cup, as U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Emma Hayes has officially named the 23-player roster for the tournament. Set to take place in Houston (Feb. 20), Glendale, Ariz. (Feb. 23), and San Diego (Feb. 26), this year’s competition marks a fresh chapter for the USWNT under Hayes’ leadership.

A notable storyline from the roster announcement is the inclusion of Ally Sentnor, a Massachusetts native who once shined as a youth player with Select. Sentnor, 20, played collegiate soccer at the University of North Carolina before being selected as the first overall pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft by the Utah Royals. Now, she is set to make her SheBelieves Cup debut alongside nine other first-time call-ups.

As reported by the New England Soccer Journal, Hayes emphasized the team’s growth and the commitment of its players. “This team is still growing, and I continue to be impressed with the dedication of our player pool to get better, individually and as a group,” said Hayes. This fresh squad will look to continue the U.S. dominance in the tournament, having won the last five consecutive editions of the SheBelieves Cup.

Sentnor’s opportunity represents the next step in her already impressive career. Her journey from youth soccer in Massachusetts to the collegiate powerhouse of North Carolina and now to the senior national team is an inspiring testament to her talent and hard work.

We love seeing young players develop and take their game to the highest levels at Select Soccer Club. Sentnor’s story reminds all aspiring athletes that dedication, perseverance, and a passion for the game can lead to incredible opportunities. We’ll cheer her on as she takes the field with the USWNT!

Stay tuned for updates on the SheBelieves Cup, and be sure to follow Ally Sentnor’s journey as she represents the U.S. on the international stage.
